Why Kids Need Chiropractic
Misalignments in babies can be caused from the birthing process itself or from normal childhood activities such as falling down repeatedly while learning to walk. These misalignments often result in the following childhood issues:
- Spitting up
- Fussiness
- Not sleeping well
- Not pooping daily
- Not nursing well
- Ear infections
Though common, these conditions aren’t normal. When your child’s nervous system is in balance, their body can work as it’s supposed to, and these issues are improved or eliminated. Kids’ Appointments
At the first appointment, Dr. Morgan will talk with you about your child’s health and what your goals are. If your child is old enough to participate in that conversation, she will include them. If they’re younger, she’ll observe their play as part of her evaluation. Then she’ll do an exam in any way that works for your child. Dr. Morgan is happy to crawl around on the floor with a baby, or have a toddler lie on their mom’s belly while the mom lies on the table, or use toys to help check range of motion – whatever it takes to make your child feel safe and comfortable.
At the second appointment, Dr. Morgan will explain what she found in her exam (usually we don’t X-ray children) and outline her plan for treatment, the costs, and the frequency of care she recommends.
